A spring peeper lying low in summer.
A beautiful Dot-lined White moth.
Growing up I learned an all-black wooly bear meant a severe winter. Turns out it just means a gorgeous moth! Yes - those all-black fuzzy caterpillars turn into Giant Leopard Moths. They are gorgeous from afar for their black and white pattern, but look closely to notice the blue iridescence along the antennae, the body, and a few spots. This is truly a spectacular insect.
